The man who coined the phrase, ‘It’s not about the size of the dog but the size of the fight in the dog’, must have had the Basenji in mind. Basenjis are from East and Central Africa where they are used to hunt, believe it or not, lions.
They’re excellent trackers with exceptional eyesight and phenomenal jumping abilities. However, they’re not good at barking because they have flat larynxes.
